Blessings in a Backpack

The Blessings in a Backpack program allows for some students, pre-K through 6th grade, to bring home a weekly bag filled with easy-to-prepare and ready-to-eat food. Food items such as cereal, ravioli, spaghetti and meatballs, Slim Jims, cheese-on-cheese crackers, etc. would be sent home with your child each week. Blessings in a Backpack does its best to make sure the food is kid-friendly, meaning it’s lightweight, healthy, non-perishable and easy-to-prepare.Students who participate in the Blessings in a Backpack program show marked improvement in school attendance, test scores, behavior, and health.  There is no cost to participate!  If you would like to see if your student is eligible for this program, please contact your child’s school.
